The Cardiff community is serviced by two school districts. The Cardiff School District offers students K-6 education. San Dieguito Union High School District services students middle school and high school educations.

Cardiff Fun Facts
The first settlement was by the MacKinnon family in 1875. In 1909 the community began to be developed by J. Frank Cullen, a Boston developer, who purchased the land for $30 a lot. Today it has a population of around 12,000.
