Santaluz History

In the 1890’s through the late 1920’s the federal government issued deeds. The Lusardi’s as well Douglas Fairbanks Sr. and his wife Mary Pickford were among the deed holders. The land changed hands multiple times over the years and in the 1990’s two developers joined forces and together proposed the Santaluz project. The result is a championship worthy golf course embedded in an elegant and rustic community that has maintained the natural beauty of the environment. Santaluz is translated to “Sacred Light” which is exactly what a sunset feels like when on the property.

Trails

Within Santaluz there are 25 miles of trails that weave and wind through the community. Walk, jog, or bike through valleys, up canyons, over creeks, and around the groves. The property covers 3,800 acres of open space that offers its residents an epic outdoor environment on, or off the golf course.

The Club

A member owned, private country club this is one of the finest in the County. Offering golf tournaments, wine festivals and dinners, musical performances, and children camps it makes membership at this club a great place to connect with neighbors, friends, and business partners and prospects.
